Position Summary

  • This hunter role is responsible for selling SaleScout’s suite of products. This position is responsible for seeking out and building partner relationships through research, making contacts, follow through, and closing deals with current and prospective clients. The Business Development Director reports to the Executive Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Actively drive the growth of the company through sales of SaleScout’s suite of products
  • Consistently meet assigned sales goals through seeking out, developing and closing sales opportunities
  • Enthusiastically utilize whatever means necessary to contact prospective clients including cold-calling, networking, mining databases, etc
  • Develop a thorough and in-depth understanding of SaleScout’s product offerings
  • Proactively pipeline market and competition information, market trends and client feedback to all related internal departments (product development, marketing, account management, customer service, etc)
  • Actively attend industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to increase awareness of SaleScout and build the brand
  • Effectively collaborate with other departments to facilitate a world class customer experience
  • Professionally represent the organization at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years data sales
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Highly internally motivated, with a drive to win
  • Professional and polished presentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B data selling in telecommunications, enterprise systems, IT, cybersecurity, office services and/or commercial real estate industries.
